Lagertha is a Viking squire who loves battle as much as men and is also the wife of Viking’s most important character, Ragnar Lothbrok. However the character of the queen of Kattegat shines with light of her own, she is a woman who fears nothing and does not allow anyone to pass over her. Since the beginning of the series Lagertha shows that she is not a woman who stays home taking care of the children, she wants to fight alongside her husband and prove that she is better than many warriors. I personally think the most powerful moment in the series is when Lagertha suffers because she can’t get pregnant and feels like she failed Ragnar, but she ends up understanding and assuming that she’s no less powerful because she can’t be a mother, that it was something very important in that period of history.
