The Bloggssss

Developing blogs seemed to me an incredible activity, I enjoyed doing each of them very much because the themes were very entertaining and with a free style that related us to the themes. I feel that this activity helped me a lot to improve my English essay and order, every time I wrote I realized that I could do it without the need to search so much that some words meant. It was not at all an academic burden, on the contrary, it was an entertainment that allowed me to further develop my writing activities, which is what I most enjoy doing. The truth of the experience was that the best thing was to develop topics that interested me and to receive the comments of my colleagues. If I had to change or improve something I would add opinion columns where as journalists and filmmakers we would have the opportunity to criticize what we see every day freely and without an editor to control us. Some topics that I would add would be sexism in the media, periodic coverage analysis, media foc...

Red Dawn

One of the scenes I’ll never forget is about the movie Red Dawn, which is about a North Korean invasion of the U.S., specifically in a town in the south. A war veteran, played by the wonderful Chris Hemsworth, decides to lead a group of young people who take refuge in the forest to fight the freedom of their people. They call themselves the "Wolverines" and begin to generate small guerrillas against the enemy and show the citizens that not everything is lost.My favorite scene is when the group realizes they’ve been discovered and they start to be chased because one of their members had a tracking chip that they’d put on him when he was caught in a moment. Several of the boys had already died and decided to escape, but that’s why Daryl the boy with the chip decides to sacrifice himself so his friends can live and stay in the middle of the forest with a gun, so they can run away peacefully. When the car follows its course, its lifelong friend, Robert, watches his friend fall be...

Amado electivo

My favorite subject this semester is called Gender and Media Representation. I chose this elective because the name caught my attention and I wanted to introduce myself in the world of gender violence and feminism, as well as the teacher who makes the bouquet in a very dynamic and cultured woman. In this course we analyze a different topic by class through texts, documentaries and films. Some of the themes we have touched on have been: Feminism, stereotype of beauty, masculinities, sexism, among others. Thanks to everything we have studied in classes I have been able to form my own vision of society and criticize things that seem wrong to me, I have learned to know myself, forgive myself and value myself more as a woman. I learned not to normalize situations of violence that sometimes we find difficult to see and understand the role that as a woman we have as rights persons. I like to analyze films and read texts because that makes the bouquet entertaining and not a huge academi...

Astorga

Juan Manuel Astorga was born on January 18, 1973. He worked since he was 17 years old due to the separation of his parents and for this reason he could not enter university. However, as he left school he started working on "radio portals" where at first he was just going through scripts and reporting, reason that allowed him to meet the journalist Ricarte Soto whom he considers his mentor and with whom he decided to start his career. He worked in the magazine Caras y Pulso, participated in several central news such as Meganoticias, edited newspapers such as "La Hora" and was the conductor of the program "El Informante" who made him be recognized as a quality journalist on topical issues and also as a humanitarian person. In 2008, when he was 35, it was his hardest year because he realized he didn’t like women and was living a lie, so he decided to think about their happiness and be openly recognized as gay. In 2013 he received the Journalism of Exce...
